The CyberKnife Robotic Radio surgery System is an alternative to surgery for the treatment of a tumor, which may be cancerous or non-cancerous in nature. This cutting edge and absolutely precise technology may be used anywhere in the body, the prostate, lung, brain, spine, liver, pancreas, kidney and even the brain.
The treatment process – A high dose of radiation beams are delivered to the tumor with great accurateness.
Although, the name may be indicative of a surgical procedure, the CyberKnife treatment involves no cutting. In fact, the CyberKnife System is the world’s only robotic radio surgical technique to treat tumors throughout the body without any surgical interference. It provides a pain-free option for patients who have surgically inoperable/complex tumors or who may be looking for an alternative to surgery.
Is it the right treatment for me?
It is absolutely safe for patients who have
undergone or are currently undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy. The CyberKnife treatment is approved by the medical associations all over the world and is
being used to help patients overcome the daemon of cancer
Many patients have benefitted by this scientific
blessing and you can too - speak to your treating physician today about this or

What if something goes wrong?
The CyberKnife technique works on a hundred
per cent precision;before to the procedure, the patient is imaged using a CT
scan which is high resolution, to determine the shape/size and location of the
tumor and the images of the generated data are digitally transferred to the
CyberKnife System where the treatment plan is generated by a specialist CyberKnife
technician.
The technician then plans the amount of
radiation dose required to be given at the desired tumor location while
ensuring that there is no radiation exposure to the surrounding healthy tissue.
Upon arrival at the treatment centre, the
patient is positioned on the treatment table which is just like a regular bed.
Then a computer-controlled robotic device slowly moves around the patient and
delivers radiation to the tumor from various pre designated locations.
Each treatment session will last between 30
and 90 minutes, depending on the type of tumor.
How soon
will I be able to take on the world?
Almost every patient is able to resume their
normal activities immediately after a CyberKnife session. The after effects may
include fatigue or nausea. However, all of this depends on the size and nature
of your tumor. Your treating physician will be the best person to comment on
this.

right decisions today to improve our future”
